At Renown Healthcare, art supports the healing journey from the moment visitors arrive. Across waiting rooms, corridors, and nursing zones, the collection was curated to reduce anxiety and restore focus through subtle color and texture. Drawing on natural palettes and woven forms that echo the surrounding Sierra Nevada landscape, each piece offers a moment of stillness between waiting times.
GROUNDED IN NEVADA
In collaboration with Perkins Will, we worked to create a cohesive visual language rooted in evidence-based design while drawing directly from the colors, patterns, and quiet expanses of the surrounding Sierra Nevada. Natural materials, woven textures, and a palette inspired by Nevada’s desert light transform the hospital experience reducing stress and nurturing calm in environments often defined by urgency.
Installed across an active healthcare campus, this multi-year collaboration was carefully managed, making every decision alongside Renown’s care teams. The result is a program that proves creative partnership can shape how healing feels and improve the clinical environment as well as the emotional experience.
