"I work with the concept of transmutation & fluidity of form, my painting is abstract and often lyrical, with calligraphy & graffiti influences. I consider composition from a geometric stance in terms of light and dark, engaging geometry where relevant, to represent tension between fluidity and structure.
I merge my love of precision, geometry and composition typical of Russian Constructivism, with the lyrical spontaneity of abstract expressionism, far eastern calligraphy, and freestyle graffiti.
I have a deep passion for contemporary art, especially abstract expressionist works, and more recently obliteration painting. Influences include Christopher Wool, Franz Kline, Aaron Siskind, Robert Motherwell, Frank Stella, Hans Hartung, Kurt Schwitters, Joan Mitchell, Malevich... among many others."
